My Happy Place

So, it might be a double wide complete with wood paneling and a green blender, but it is seriously one of my favorite places in this universe. Grandma's cabin is always fun. It snowed all weekend long and the girls whined for the bulk of it. However, come Monday the sun was shinning and there was a good foot of lovely powder. We took dad's machines out for a little spin around the mountain. We had a great time floating around, getting sunburned and digging out machines. It always makes me giggle when I hop off a snowmobile and fall up to my hip in snow. What a great weekend!

It turns out that we did do more than just snowmobile. Ensley sledded down the roof. She REALLY didn't like getting snow in her face. The longer the weekend went the more warmed up the girls got to the cold stuff. I built a snow cave for them that they both loved. However, I think their favorite was playing on the playset in the snow.

Happy Birthday Baby!

We had a Tangled Party for B this year. Since it was the first time we were able to celebrate with extended family we went all out. We made pascal blowers, apples for Maximus (bean bag toss), and a pin the pan on Flynn Rider game.

Aa sent Bergs a Tangled DVD that we watched at the end of the party. Bergen LOVED it!

Little jello boats. I tried to put swedish fish in them, but it just kinda looked like... something other than a fish. Maybe like something else that would be brown swimming around in a pool of blue.

The birthday girl adored her cake. She would just sit there and look at it. The whole time it was being made she just watched and watched. I felt bad after we ate it. A couple days later she said, "Next birthday party no one will eat my cake!"

I have to give credit where credit is due. My little sister made the cake. She is awesome when it comes to culinary creativity! Now she has to make another when when Ensley has her birthday. It's going to have to be a Tangled Party too, because I can only be this crafty once a year!
